Often a Hero

II thought  I would be a hero
And next day in the test I got a zero
My teacher said a hero I could have been
Had there been no zero to be seen
Still a hero I will become
Waiting for next test to come.

Gone in 36 Blinks Lives less lived, dreams barely fulfilled, Wins yet to come, loss not yet to bear No time to think, Gone in 36 blinks. The sieve of nature, mysteriously selected the good, Some in the air, some just having food, Some simply going about their day, some just plane spotting, A fireball erupted,  Gone in fiery 36 blinks. The doctors of future, pioneers of medicine, All those souls lost, crushed by a 787 engine, Life is such a wink. Gone in oh 36 blinks. What remains is the tail, Questions unanswered, unclear details,  Time and souls fly, Not to London, but around the world sky high, Gone in oh those 36 blinks. It was a marvel of engineering, carrying hopeful futures,  But ended with emotional injuries, which can’t be healed with sutures, 12th of June - just another Thursday, the plane sinks, Gone in those unforgiving 36 blinks.

Productivity - Working Hard or Hardly Working?

The thought of working hard has been engraved into our heads by people around us. We are always pressured into dull, boring lives revolving around just textbooks and academics. We come home from school and leave immediately for classes, then return in the evening. However, is all this necessary? Is this endless loop of aimless hard work getting us anywhere? Is working less the simple answer to all our problems? Not quite. Working hard is a very important aspect of achieving success in life. But working less yet working smart can give you an edge over others. Everyone in this world is given 24 hours in one day. Neither can we pause time (yet..) nor can we add hours to a day. Yet, Bill Gates and Elon Musk are the biggest and the richest businessmen in the world and most of us are aimlessly typing away on our laptops with a cup of coffee in one hand.
