Gone in 36 Blinks

Gone in 36 Blinks

Lives less lived, dreams barely fulfilled, Wins yet to come, loss not yet to bear No time to think, Gone in 36 blinks.

The sieve of nature, mysteriously selected the good,

Some in the air, some just having food,

Some simply going about their day, some just plane spotting,

A fireball erupted,

Gone in fiery 36 blinks.

The doctors of future, pioneers of medicine,

All those souls lost, crushed by a 787 engine,

Life is such a wink.

Gone in oh 36 blinks.

What remains is the tail,

Questions unanswered, unclear details,

Time and souls fly,

Not to London, but around the world sky high,

Gone in oh those 36 blinks.

It was a marvel of engineering, carrying hopeful futures,

But ended with emotional injuries,

which can’t be healed with sutures,

12th of June - just another Thursday, the plane sinks,

Gone in those unforgiving 36 blinks.
